  • Description: We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager who is a dynamic leader who lives and breathes to engage, develop and advance our employees. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will manage teams of warehousing, distribution and delivery professionals.  The Assistant Warehouse Manager will have a solid understanding and established experience with the following:
    • Hiring, engaging and developing employees with a focus on building individual and team capabilities
    • Leading managers, supervisors and teams of 100+ employees
    • Ability to manage labor hours worked towards achieving demanding budget goals while sustaining Safety and Quality
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks – understands how to follow up to complete time sensitive tasks – a self-starter who requires little oversight
    • Ensures compliance for all Safety rules including training and licensing on Material Handling Equipment and DOT rules
    • Experience with LEAN processes is a plus
    • The ability to work alongside fellow team-mates in a challenging and demanding environment where the focus is on our customer and on our team’s success
    Working directly for the Warehouse Manager the duties of this position include:
    • Leads the Distribution & Warehouse Team in all business processes:
    • Collaborates with purchasing team to manage flow of materials into the facility.
    • Directs receiving and storage of materials.
    • Directs the layout of pick lines to ensure smooth, accurate picking.
    • Directs the picking, staging and loading of all materials.
    • Directs the delivery of all materials, on time, damage free to the job site.
    • Leads the team in achieving all Safety Goals – Runs a Safe operation
    • Collaborates with Field Division Managers to provide best in class support for all material deliveries.
    • Directs and manages the team’s use of the SAP system including proper processes and system health.
    •  Develops and maintains processes to ensure inventory accountability.
    • Reviews periodic inventories and develops plans to manage stranded materials.
    • Collaborates with Central Order Processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, load level and service to the field.
    • Interviews, trains and disciplines subordinate staff members.
    • Assesses training for staff and personnel.
    Education and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree of any College Course preferred
    • 5+ years’ experience in a management role for a large distribution center or warehouse
    • Detailed knowledge of SAP and its use in Supply Chain operations.
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
