  • Description: SUMMARY Commercial Sales Representative is a position created to grow the direct Sales of the Commercial Service Team. It is also a position that is required to add to the Division's growth revenues. This is also a value added proposition to our existing client base, allowing us to take a proactive approach to the market rather than a reactive approach. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    • Maintain a steady prospect log with 10 new entries per week
    • Make 25 calls per week to new prospects.
    • Set at the minimum 5 new appointments per week
    • Follow up with existing maintenance base for replacement opportunities
    • Estimate and take off unit replacement and other project work
    • Meet weekly with the Commercial Service Manager to review Prospect
    •  Log, Sales Activity Log and Sales Log
    • Attend all Service Technician department meetings
    • Work with vendors to develop preferred pricing
    • Include maintenance contracts with project quotes
    • Develop, Customize and Amend new and existing project proposals
    • Generally manage sold projects
    • Be the liaison for the Customer between the field crew and office
    • Assemble close out packages
    • Set appointment for new start up and conduct the start- up meeting
    • Become familiar with and join local networking groups such as IFMA, BOMA, etc…
    • Continually upgrade sales and trade knowledge
    • Follow and track current market trends as well the competitions activity and approach to market
    • Become intimately familiar with the local competition to maintain competitive edges and separation
    • Become an expert at the “Financial Sale” as outlined by the Service Manager
    • Become an expert at customer qualification as outlined by Service Manager
    • Become an expert at the sales process as outlined by the Service Manager
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (What is required to perform the Essential Functions) 
    • Strong background in Customer service and relations
    • Technical background
    • Mathematical proficiency
    • General business acumen
    • Self-motivated, self-starter capable of dealing with rejection
    • Basic computer Micro soft word, power point and excel skills
    • Maintain quality time management ability
    • General mechanical knowledge
    • Ability to negotiate
    • Problem solving and quick conflict resolution skills
    • Attention to detail and listening skills
