  • Description:   Under the general direction from Marketing Supervisor and the V.P. of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible assisting the Marketing Department and company in all related activities. This role is to act as a backup to the Marketing Supervisor as well as focus heavily on creative visual design. The position is to aid in the implementation of the annual marketing and communications plan for Villara, targeting both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment. Technical Responsibilities of the Job
    • Directly assist Vice President of Marketing and Marketing Supervisor on projects on an as-needed basis.
    • Responsible for helping to ensure annual marketing plan is followed, prioritized and executed on a monthly basis.
    • Assist in monitoring and maintaining a Company online presence through websites, reviewing on a regular basis and making changes as needed. Familiarity with website design using WordPress desired.
    • Monitor and maintain Villara’s social media platforms, updating content and design on a regular basis.
    • Coordinate and assist with internal company relations efforts such as, employee parties, employee picnics, the employee holiday gift program and other events.
    • Collaborate with appropriate team members and design marketing collateral including but not limited to:
    • Brochures/manuals
    • Flyers
    • Screen savers
    • Payroll notices
    • Ads
    • Posters/signs/banners
    • PowerPoint presentations,
    • Newsletters
    • Printed and electronic forms
    • Social Media content
    • Other items as needed
    • Prepare files for commercial and in-house printers as required. Work closely with printing houses to produce quality output.
    • Coordinate with various departments on garment and special orders and work on mockups and designs for said items.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support their marketing efforts, including mailers for direct mail campaigns, surveys, packages, letters, video, etc.
    • Monitor inventory and coordinate fulfillment of internal and external corporate literature, branded garments, and other promotional materials, improving the design and updating annually.
    • A Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook needed.
    • Strong knowledge of graphic design principles and Adobe Suite required.
    • Must be proficient with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms. Experience with HooteSuite or other aggregators desired.
    • Some video production experience preferred. ‘YouTube quality’ and above videos for internal training, recruiting, and promotion will be made so a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar video editing software) is preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively communicate a variety of people. Strong proofreading/editing skills needed
    • Assist in capturing photographs/video at special events and during the course of a normal business day for use in marketing, advertising, and branding.
    • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.

    • Flexibility in one’s schedule and willingness to, at times, stretch the workday to meet project deadlines. Weekend work is seldom required; however, it may come up on occasion.
    • A self-starter who can either work independently or be a significant contributor as a team member.
    • Willingness to learn new job responsibilities.
    Education
    • Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design or comparable experience required
