  • Description: The primary focus of a product assembly technician is to apply a high-level of precision in assembly and preparation of products in manufacturing. Technician must work safely while adapting to the changing needs of our business.   Essential duties and responsibilities:
    • Prepare and assemble materials
    • Build product subassemblies or final assemblies
    • Keep and maintain production logs
    • Package finished products
    • Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
    • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
    • Measure and record data associated with assembly
    • Committed to creating and participating in a positive workplace culture
    • Committed to arriving on-time and ready to work
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in model/hobbyist assembly i.e. R/C cars (preferred)
    • Knowledge and understanding of both metric and imperial measurements
    • Experience with basic hand tools
    • Ability to read and understand plans/drawings/blueprints/instructions
    • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs frequently
    • Must be able to wear a respirator throughout shift (Required)
    Skills:
    • Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
    • Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
    • Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
    • Problem Solving -- Identify problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
    • Judgment and Decision Making -- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
    • Ability to work independently as part of an evolving team
    • Willingness to embrace and drive change
    • Willingness to learn about electrical equipment and testing
    • Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and symbols (BONUS)
