- Description: We are looking for a Senior Warehouse Manager who is a dynamic leader and who lives and breathes to engage, develop and advance our employees. The successful candidate will manage a team of warehousing, distribution and delivery professionals. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and established experience with the following:
- Solid leadership experience in an operational environment
- Hiring, engaging, developing employees with a focus on building individual and team capabilities
- Experienced in leading managers, supervisors and teams of 100+ employees
- Ability to manage labor hours worked towards achieving demanding budget goals while sustaining Safety and Quality
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks – understands how to follow up to complete time sensitive tasks – a self-starter who requires little oversight
- Ensures compliance for all Safety rules including training and licensing on Material Handling Equipment and DOT rules
- Experience with LEAN processes is a plus
- Finally, the ability to work alongside fellow team-mates in a challenging and demanding environment where the focus is on our customer and on our team’s success
- Leads the Distribution & Warehouse Team in all business processes:
- Collaborates with the Purchasing team to manage flow of materials into the facility.
- Directs receiving and storage of materials.
- Directs the layout of pick lines to ensure smooth, accurate picking.
- Directs the picking, staging and loading of all materials.
- Directs the delivery of all materials, on time, damage free to the job site.
- Leads the team in achieving all Safety Goals – Runs a Safe operation • Develops and maintains department budget. • Collaborates with Field Division Managers to provide best in class support for all material deliveries. • Directs and manages the team’s use of the SAP system including proper processes and system health. • Develops and maintains processes to ensure inventory accountability. • Reviews periodic inventories and develops plans to manage stranded materials. • Oversees the Central Order Processing team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, load level and service to the field. • Interviews, trains and disciplines subordinate staff members. • Assesses training for staff and personnel. • Investigates vehicle accidents, negotiates for any possible settlements and authorizes any repairs or maintenance of company vehicles
- Bachelor's Degree preferred • 5+ years experience managing a large distribution center or warehouse • Detailed knowledge of SAP and its use in Supply Chain operations. • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. • In depth knowledge of auto rental and leasing programs • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
