Warehouse Supervisor – Plumbing Department

  • Description: This position will be responsible to supervise a staff of Warehouse employees and all department activities.  Handling quality control processes and communicating effectively with other Villara Departments is vital to the success of this role.                                                                                                                        Technical Responsibilities of the Job
    • Supervise personnel including, hiring, termination, disciplinary action, and performance evaluations.
    • Support our field staffs with precise order fulfillment
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels, inventory control, and in stock position through process adherence.
    • Manage plumbing warehouse safety programs including training and licensing on material handling equipment.
    • Ensure material handling equipment available at all times, and schedule maintenance.
    • Manage delivery truck load outs to ensure on time and damage free shipments to the job site.
    • Will call/expedited material desk oversight.
    • Assist in creation and maintenance of standard works.
    • Enable continuous improvement using Lean methodologies.
    • Develop and maintain appropriate logs, trackers and other records.
    • Manage E Bay material handler/puller and warehouse teams. Ensure quality control and order accuracy for material handler/puller and warehouse teams.
    • Implement operating goals/metrics and monitor successes and failures.
    • Sustain effective communication with delivery and E bay central order processing departments.
    • Participate in Lean/Kaizen and other operational continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Troubleshoot problems to resolution.
    • Manage the overall cleanliness and order of the plumbing warehouse both inside and outside.
    • Coordinate with E Bay Plumbing Fabrication Supervisor to ensure fabrication pick bins inventory integrity is maintained while meeting the needs of the fabrication team.
    • And any other duties as assigned

    • 5+ years’ experience in a warehouse supervision role
    • Experience with LEAN processes
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred
