Tradesman/Journeyman Plumber

Locations: Sacramento – Plumas Lake – Natomas

The Plumbing Journeyman will be motivated and responsible for routing various types of pipes and water lines to the sewer systems of new residential and multi-family homes. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for strapping pipes, nail plating, running condensation lines, gluing pipe and running pex lines.

Job Summary

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance, inspection, installation, operation and repair of heating and cooling systems in residential buildings. Technicians will primarily respond to service calls, evaluate needs, present options to customers, gain customer approval and complete work. Techs will also perform planned maintenance and/or installation as needed. Our company offers on-the-job training and yearly wage increases as your skills develop. Technical Responsibilities of the Job

  • Install vents, duct work (flex and metal), plenum, equipment and registers in residential and commercial buildings using hand and power tools according to code and established company procedures.

Position Overview

In this role, the individual will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and servicing residential homeowner’s HVAC systems.  

Technical Responsibilities of the Job

  • Maintain, diagnose and correct problems throughout the entire HVAC system.
  • Perform all of the low voltage wiring for the indoor and outdoor unit
  • Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
  • Start up the furnace for the first time to burn all of the manufactures oil off

Position Overview

This position is responsible for all recruiting efforts and related tasks for finding, hiring and retaining quality talent across the company

Technical Responsibilities of the Job

  • Works closely with management at all levels to determine specific project personnel requirements and facilitates the resource planning meeting
  • Execute recruiting plans
  • Recruits professional talent from industry through the use of private recruiting associations, referral programs, and other forums
  • Administrative duties and recordkeeping, including producing external reports
  • Coordinate and conduct job fairs.
  • Coordinate and implement college and high school recruiting initiatives by maintaining a close working relationship with high schools, colleges and universities to feed the Villara Construction culture
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Maintains company job boards and postings
  • Post to social media
  • Tracks response rates and performance for continuous improvement
  • Conduct prescreening interviews
  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite
  • Assist in preparing and sending offer and new employee orientation packages
  • Evaluate candidates’ strengths compared with Hiring Manager’s requirements, and recommend the best candidates after a detailed screening and skill assessment.
  • Stay current on trends, emerging technologies and new and hard to find skill sets.
  • Network extensively to find potential candidates and clients.
  • Source through internal candidate database as well as professional associations, referrals, and other networking resources.
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Assist when needed to cover front desk
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Education Associate Degree or Higher is a plus

 

Individuals must be able to:

  • Have at least 2/3 years of recruiting experience
  • Has sound knowledge of recruiting and related legal and government regulations
  • Has knowledge of organization effectiveness principles and can implement them within the culture of the company in a manner that helps grow the ability of the organization to adapt to strategic and market changes
  • Can successfully interface with all levels of employees from field work force to the senior leaders of the organization
  • Analyzes data, determines trends, and establishes proactive responses
  • Maintaining a positive attitude, works well in a demanding environment
  • Has superior organizational skills
  • Full service staffing agency recruiting experience a plus
